Jennifer Terrasa

District 3

Jennifer is an elected member of the legislative branch of the local government. As one of five County Council members, she works to enact county laws, authorize the budget, and help citizens in her district solve problems.

Jennifer was elected by the people who live in Council District 3, which is one of five in Howard County. Her district includes Savage, North Laurel, Kings Contrivance, Owen Brown, and parts of Jessup. To see the area of Howard County that is included in Jennifer's District CLICK HERE

Like the other four members, Jennifer is elected to serve a four-year term as a Council member. Each member is limited to serving three, four-year terms (or 12 years).

Jen is the proud mother of three children, Tony, Kelsey and Joey. She is delighted to raise her children in Howard County, where they can experience a vibrant quality of life in a diverse community.

Why did you choose this career?... I enjoy helping people and improving our community. Being a council woman puts me in a position to be able to do that.

What do you like best about your job?...Meeting people and resolving issues

What is the worst part of your job?...Not being able to solve every problem.

What would people be most surprised to learn about you?...I played trumpet in the marching band.

Who is your hero today and why?...Teachers and other child care providers.

What is the best advice that you would share with a child?... It’s a small world!
